This center is a highly specialized hospital for cardiovascular diseases, and all patients are required to submit letters of reference from their respective primary doctors or home doctors. When we receive notices from doctors who have examined patients, we are ready for the emergency care such as cerebral apoplexy, angina pectoris and myocardial infarction.

A letter of reference is required to mention the condition of the patient, doctor's view, the summary of the test data and details of prescription. It is one of the rules that every patient without this letter will be charged extra 4,738 yen (including the consumption tax) as the special medical fee.

The reception for new patients opens from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. We give consultation to patients suffering from internal diseases in Differential Service and patients suffering from other cardiovascular diseases in each section of Specialized Service: the Pediatrics, the Cardiovascular Surgery, the Cerebrovascular Surgery and the Perinatology (Pediatric Cardiac Surgery on every Wednesday, Vascular Surgery on every Thursday).

From the second consultation, patients have to make an appointment to come. In Specialized Service, every patient is able to make an appointment 4 months in advance. When patients come here again after more than a year, they will be treated as new patients, but their former medical records will be usefully referred.

The next appointment is registered in the Division of Medical Affairs, then, an"appointment card" will be published. For the change and cancellation of appointment over the telephone, patients have to contact the appointment office by 3 days before the appointed day.

Aiming at having more efficient and integrated medical system, we return the presented cases to patients' former doctors as much as possible, develop the medical network system and make closer cooperation with neighboring medical institutes.

In the Outpatient Service, we have some special clinics; Ophthalmology, Otorhinolaryngology, Urology, Dentistry, Clinic for liver and digestive diseases and Psychiatry. Principally the doctor in charge will ask for the above clinical appointments.
